NYC Office of Child Support Services Hosts December Employer Conference

On December 10, 2024, the New York City Office of Child Support Services and the New York State Division of Child Support Services are co-sponsoring the NYC Child Support Program Employer Conference. The half-day virtual conference will provide payroll professionals and employers with tools they need to navigate the complexities of New York child support laws.

The conference will cover topics including new hire reporting, processing income-withholding orders and medical support orders, and more. In addition to the presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of child support experts. Alice Jacobsohn, Esq., Director of Government Relations at PayrollOrg, will be one of the presenters.

Employers are vital partners to New York City’s child support program. Income-withholding by employers typically accounts for more than $450 million remitted to New York City families.
