Iowa Tax Agency Updates Website

The Iowa Department of Revenue (DOR) has a new website at revenue.iowa.gov. The new site combines tax.iowa.gov and abd.iowa.gov. The DOR now includes the Alcoholic Beverage Division and Lottery Authority as one state agency. The new website has updated tax guidance clearly presented in a single location by tax type, including withholding tax. FAQs are posted and narrowed by topic so the user can filter them more easily [DOR, Press Release, 7-9-24].

Because the agency has a new web address, users who have bookmarked previous pages related to Revenue or Alcoholic Beverages may need to update frequently accessed pages.

PayrollOrg’s Resource Library

PayrollOrg provides state agency directories on its website to help payroll professionals find the contact information they need to get their questions answered. The directories are available in the Resource Library (located under the News & Resources heading on the PayrollOrg home page). Select Web Links-State to access the following state directories:

• Child Support Enforcement Agencies
• Income Tax Withholding Agencies
• New Hire Reporting Agencies
• Unclaimed Property Agencies
• Unemployment Insurance Agencies
• Wage and Hour Agencies

Each directory provides the state agency name, address, phone number, fax number, email address, and website address (if available).

Under Web Links-State, after the directories, each state agency link is listed by category and then by state.
