BY: Jyme Mariani, Esq. | 12/13/23

The National Child Support Engagement Association (NCSEA), in which PayrollOrg is a member, released a free podcast “Gig Workers and Daily Pay: An Employer Focused Conversation.” This episode of NCSEA On Location is the fourth in a series of free podcasts focused on engaging with one of the child support program’s important contributors: employers.

This episode of NCSEA On Location comes from Alaska, California, Illinois, and New Jersey. Co-hosts Pat O’Donnell and Tim Lightner introduce two guest speakers: Corri Flores, Director of Government Affairs – Wage Garnishment, Compliance and Shared Services for ADP, Inc., and Alice P. Jacobsohn, Esq., Director of Government Relations at PayrollOrg. Flores is chair of PayrollOrg’s Government Relations Task Force (GRTF) Child Support Subcommittee.

In the podcast, Flores and Jacobsohn discuss employers’ roles for withholding child support in reference to daily pay (earned wage access) and gig workers. They discuss what is mandated by federal and state laws and some best practices.
