SSA Requests Feedback on BSO Registration Process

The Social Security Administration (SSA) is requesting feedback on its replacement for the current registration and authorization process for Business Services Online (BSO).

Payroll professionals who wish to participate should send an email to [email protected] by July 18, 2023, providing: the participant’s name, a valid email address and contact telephone number, and the participant’s role in the company. The subject line should read: Invitation to participate in BSO study.

SSA will notify participants by July 19 if they are selected to participate in the study.

Background

On March 25, SSA changed how to sign up for and access BSO accounts. The change affects users of Wage File Upload, W-2 Online, W-2c Online, AccuWage Online, and the Social Security Number Verification Service (SSNVS).
